The largest producer in the world, Brazil grows about one-third of the world's coffee. This coffee is from the region of Sul de Minas, famous for top cupping Brazilian coffees. The rolling hills, mild climate and gentle rainfalls provide the perfect amount of moisture, yielding the best in the beans. Home to some of the largest coffee estates, Sul de Minas also has many more cooperatives than other regions of Brazil. More than half of the farms are small to medium-sized (10-150 hectares), some farming for generations.
